Aunt Molly’s Pre-Birthday Celebration (5/25)

Mom-Mom, Doc and Molly arrived back in Seattle from Alaska on Saturday, 5/25.

We decided to host Aunt Molly’s first birthday celebration of the year!  She dressed up (briefly) for the occasion:

Andrew made a delicious meal of halibut and quinoa and salad, and a special cheeseburger for Molly:

For dessert Molly requested a German chocolate cake (undoubtedly as a result of the tasty one featured on this blog from Andrew’s birthday)

She ended up opting for ice cream, instead, but the rest of us enjoyed the cake.  Lastly, here’s Molly in the birthday shirt from Blaine (and Mommy and Daddy), taken a few days later:

Raccoon

Gram and Granddad sent Blaine this adorable raccoon puppet from Italy!  Andrew’s not so fond of raccoons, but it seems to be a hit with Blaine!

Playground opening

Also on 5/17 we walked by the playground opening at Volunteer Park.  This school choir was singing one of Blaine’s favorite songs – The Rainbow Connection (from the Muppet Movie).

Mahoneys Visit (5/17-18)

Mom-Mom, Doc and Aunt Molly arrived on Friday 5/17 for one night before they left for a cruise to Alaska on 5/18!

Reading

A few pictures demonstrating Blaine’s interest in books!  Though typically his goal is to get the reading material into his mouth.

First Mother’s Day

Andrew and Blaine made sure I had a very special first Mother’s Day!

Blaine made this adorable gift for me at daycare on Friday:

And Blaine and Daddy bought these gorgeous flowers (the florist threw in the little potted flower as a special gift for Blaine):

My men (well, one man, at least) made me a delicious Mother’s Day breakfast of blueberry waffles and sausages… soooo good:

And Aunts Jody and Suzanne babysat Blaine so Andrew and I could go out for a tasty sushi dinner.  🙂  It was a great day.
