Blaine is still fascinated with the lawn mower. We let him push it around the yard a bit… with it turned off, of course.

On Thursday, 7/31, we visited the hospital to see the Siegels and their new baby, Libby!  We brought some balloons, plus one extra for Blaine.  Here he is back at home, playing with his lion.

Blaine loves this picture book he got from Gram, all about his recent adventures in Great Falls!  We read it three times in a row when we first received it, and countless times since.  Thank you, Gram, for the thoughtful gift!

A very happy birthday to Uncle Fran!  We’re so happy to hear you had a fun birthday weekend and we’re sorry we weren’t there with you to celebrate.  We can’t wait to see you again soon!

Happy Birthday, Mom-Mom!  We’re sorry that we weren’t there with you to celebrate, but we hope that you had a wonderful day.  Blaine enjoyed coloring your birthday card and even added some construction equipment stickers when I told him that yellow is your favorite color.  We miss you and can’t wait to see you in October!

My cousin John and his fiance, Leslie, stayed with us during their recent trip to Seattle.  In between sightseeing, John helped us move a bookcase, Leslie played with Blaine, and they got some amazing pictures (which I am reposting from facebook — thanks, guys!).

And on Sunday morning they took us out to brunch at Vios cafe.

I turned 34 (gasp!) on July 10, and we celebrated with a delicious dinner of salmon, mushroom risotto, and green beans that Daddy made – yummy!  After dinner Blaine helped me blow out the candles.

Shane traveled all the way from San Francisco to meet Blaine for the first time on the 4th of July.  We made our first bedtime exception ever and woke Blaine up to go and see fireworks — he loved them!

We spent Saturday morning at Alki Beach in West Seattle, watching the beach volleyball and playing in the sand.

On Sunday morning we finally learned Blaine does have a berry limit at Portage Bay Cafe.
