Thanks to Aunt Jody for the cute San Francisco onesie!
Speaking of SF… I’m going to be making a quick trip to SF on June 1-2 for a friend’s wedding! It’s going to be the first time I’ll be away from Blaine overnight…
We were walking past Volunteer Park on Sunday 4/14 and saw a pack of bicycles go by– it was a criterium race!
I’d never seen one apart from the movie Breaking Away, but it was perfect for Blaine since the pack went by every few minutes as they circled the closed course.
And in between laps he had his castanets to chew on.
By the way thank you to the person (I’m thinking Robin?) who gave Blaine this hat! It’s his new favorite and he gets so many compliments on it.
Blaine celebrated his first half birthday by ripping his #6 in half!
We’re finally all getting over our daycare colds, and just in time for Blaine’s 6 month shots yesterday. He took them like a champ and didn’t even get a fever! He’s been working on his sitting skills, has been trying out some consonants (da-da is a favorite) and we’re going to take Dr Hathaway’s advice and start experimenting with some different solid foods.
It was a beautiful, sunny Easter weekend here in Seattle! On Saturday we squeezed Blaine into this too-tight bunny shirt which shows off his baby muscles and took a walk into Volunteer Park to catch the tail end of the annual egg hunt. We missed the Easter bunny, unfortunately. Next year!
In the afternoon we had him outside in the backyard on the ground (gasp!) for the first time! He was skeptical.
The next day we even went for the sunscreen! Here’s Blaine in a very summery outfit from France (thanks to the Marshalls). He’s really working on sitting up:
Still a work in progress though:
