Thanksgiving 2022

The persimmons arrived early and sat on the counter waiting for Gram to arrive!

This year the plan was that we would host Gram and Grandad for the big day! Sadly in the end Grandad stayed home in Great Falls with covid, but at least we got to enjoy having Gram for a visit! She arrived on Wednesday and that afternoon we went for a walk in Manor Park.

On Thanksgiving we spent some more time outside at the Rye Nature Center.

For Thanksgiving dinner we had the traditional turkey, along with dressing, gravy, broccoli, sweet potato fries, and cranberry jelly from Meateria. Weeks prior Blaine had picked up a squash at the farmer’s market which we determined was a spaghetti squash, so we made that, as well.

After dinner we signed on to zoom so that Grandad could join us for dessert! Gram made her delicious persimmon pudding and the flambe was excellent this year! Gram also brought the chocolate turkey for smashing, and we made a pecan pie. Yum!

A wonderful and tasty Thanksgiving, thanks for coming to see us, Gram, and for all your cooking!
